I always enjoy learning new things and my staff, students and grandchildren really keep me on my toes. After more than twenty-eight years in public education, I feel blessed by all the stimulation. I now have time to learn and explore a little more freely.....and it is really fun!
Ms. Mays, I totally agree with you on learning new things. Technology in itself is stimulation enough. We are now in a society where students come to us knowing more about technology then the adults. I love exploring different avenues of technology. You will just add to your twenty-eight years of experience.
ReplyDeleteI see that you are fast trying to become the "digital native" and move away from the "digital immigrant". The students will help you throughout the year with any hiccups. So then you have another way to entice the students into learning without realizing it.
ReplyDeleteLearning new things is always fun. Being a "seasoned" newcomer to the digital age, my kids are helping me with my new phone....and I'm ok with that.
ReplyDeleteI agree we can all learn something new everyday...and with librarians it's a given.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fun time to be alive and "young" enough to not be intimidated (too much) by today's technology. And it keeps getting easier and easier! No more sending through FTP or putting in all sorts of codes. Reading books on computers and portable phones! Communicating INSTANTLY. Aren't we lucky to live in these times?! What's next - teleportation?? We'll have to keep healthy to find out!
